Viacure Research Partner Profiles

The Management Team at Viacure Research Inc. is comprised of two active partners, Gloria Pinkus and Kim Ferguson.

Together, these experienced and professional CRAs boast over 25 years of clinical experience in a wide range of therapeutic areas.

Gloria Pinkus,
President & Director of Clinical Operations

With over 30 years of experience in various therapeutic fields, Gloria Pinkus offers clients a wealth of expertise and services, in both English and French. Currently, she is a member of ACRP, the Quebec Association of Clinical Research Nurses and L'Ordre des Infimiéres et Infirmiers du Québec.

A Registered Nurse, Gloria's CRA career spans over 12 years in various fields, including the role of Clinical Research Coordinator of the Infectious Disease/Microbiology Department at Sir Mortimer B Davis Jewish General Hospital. Her extensive background has involved experience with auditing, case report development, health-care counselling, and Phases I to IV of clinical trials. This history culminated with Gloria as President of Dataccure Associates, a contract clinical research organization that merged with Clinsight Research to form Viacure Research Inc.

Gloria's expertise has been recognized throughout the industry both in print and in public and has been an invited speaker at various pharmaceutical meetings and functions.

Kim Ferguson,
Director of Project Management & Regulatory Affairs

An ACRP-certified CRA since 1992, Kim Ferguson possesses a comprehensive background that has given her a well-rounded perspective on how data should be collected, captured and analyzed.

After completing an Honours BSc degree in Pharmacology, Kim earned her Master's degree in Physiology, specializing in cardiovascular complications of diabetes. Over the course of her career, Kim has held a variety of roles in the healthcare and research field, from participating in a CDC-funded infectious disease/outbreak investigation team to acting as an Associate Manager, Data Management and Statistics with Boehringer Ingleheim, Canada, to working as a CRA with Sanofi Winthrop.

Starting in 1994, Kim began working as an Independent Clinical Research Consultant first in Philadelphia, and then in Toronto, where in 1997 she became President of Clinsight Research Inc. Her areas of expertise include: cardiovascular; CNS; infectious disease; transplant; device studies; remote data entry studies; SAS programmer/analyst; and regulatory and project management.
